It’s perhaps the ultimate expression of Google’s culture: rapid information retrieval can make us all heroes. Just wear this camera and display on your face all the time.
Its funny, the tech blogs constantly take shots at glass and say it wont ever work,
But* every* regular person that sees you with it (even the people that say they hate the idea of it) immediately ask you to try it on as soon as they see you with it. It seriously reminds me of the first iPhone.
“HAHAHA Who would pay 500+ for a phone!…… Oh hey, is that one of those iPhones? Lemme see it man!”

Why don’t you explain to us how that statement is false? Or you could disappear into the wind and never post again now that you have been called out on it.
I’m betting on the latter.

Its called I/O. Its even obvious in the name…. And even if it wasn’t, before the show they made it clear that it would be developer focused.
Its a side effect of the tech sites that stuff like this gets hyped up the way it does. Its unfortunate, but oh well.

There aren’t enough customers that are hardcore WP8 that would know about this to matter. So no, the ‘customers’ won’t save MS here.
And there is no problem,* they already look like hypocrites with the Net Neutrality stuff, the Lawsuits versus Apple stuff, the Do No Evil stuff and more.*
And guess what? Noone cares, and it doesn’t hurt their business at all.

The stock keeps surging, the money keeps flowing, android keeps growing and Google execs keep coming up with MORE ways to contradict themselves while swimming in money. The only people deluding themselves into thing MS pulled a “Gotcha!” here are the desperate WP8 fans.
This changes nothing. But go ahead and believe if you want.

Unfortunately you can’t upload tracks from the browser — you still need to use the (frankly awful) Music Manager desktop app to do that.
The most ridiculous thing I have ever read on Verge. The desktop Music uploader app is completely invisible and never bothers you. It does what its supposed to, and has options to make sure it only uploads the folders you want, and to make sure it doesn’t eat all of your upstream bandwidth unless you want it to.
How this completely effective, and completely invisible app could possibly BOTHER anyone is completely beyond me. I would love to see the author expand on what exactly is wrong with the music uploader, and I would kick puppies to see him justify calling it awful.

Google isnt scared of BS.
Remember that do no evil BS?
How did that work out? They can crush Windows Phone from here, and the only thing they will suffer is a little ‘BS’. Microsoft is overplaying there hand if they think this truly will force Google to do ANYTHING.
Im going to laugh as Google tells them to frack off, and still doesnt give WP8 Youtube. Microsoft is still acting like they are the elephant in the room. They dont realize that they aren’t the elephant in the mobile space, Google and Apple are. MS has no weight to throw around.

I love the random and completely unnecessary dig on what is universally the most wanted change by developers of mobile apps at the end of the article.
iMore’s Rene Ritchie and others argue that platform owners ought to support other types of non-review interactions separately, such as bug reports and feature requests.
Riiiiight. Because a year old article on freaking iMore is completely and totally needed…. Wouldn’t want people giving anyone a pat on the back for being the first to introduce this on a mobile OS eh?
SMH.

Clearly Google isn’t shy about complementing quality design where warranted.
They never have been. They also use macs, and pc’s and not just Chromebooks. They also use iPhones and WP8 devices and not just Android.
I love it how when they come out and comment on a competitor or another ecosystem, and its NOT negative, all the journalists act shocked. The divisive bitterness and offensive attacks are more Microsoft and Apples style.
