If you can handle 4.3 inches, try a Nexus 4. I went from an HTC myTouch 4G (3.8 inches) to an HTC Sensation (4.3") to a Nexus 4 (4.7"). Moving the HTC Sensation was awkward, 4.3" felt huge and it took a while to get adjusted. When I got my Nexus 4, this wasn’t the case. It was instantly comfortable in my hands, I can’t feel the difference. It actually kinda bothers me that it doesn’t feel bigger, but at the same time I can actually hold it so I’m not complaining.

Honestly, I just feel as if its the fault of all these custom frameworks these manufacturers keep putting on our devices. When I first got my HTC Sensation, I had instant lag. Rooted and flashed CM9 (which at the time, wasn’t really anything but bare ICS), and my Sensation stayed super smooth. From that point on, the only issue I ever had was with Google Maps causing reboots on Snapdragon S3 devices. I ended up abandoning the phone because the battery kept becoming shitty, the volume buttons fell out of both shells, and I spent too much money repairing this crap. So, I got myself a Nexus 4. Holy butter. Super smooth, and even when I download a shitload of applications that run in the background, and bunch of shit, it stays smooth.
I will say though, it hard rebooted on me within seconds of opening the camera. I only had the phone on for about 5 minutes. That was the only issue I ever had. I haven’t rooted (yet), haven’t done any Android steroids, nothing. So far I’ve only unlocked the boot loader, and I’m honestly quite content with just that. To this day I have not had an ounce of lag, no issues.
(Btw the default camera app is horrible, use Camera Zoom FX).
Also, nVidia’s Tegra processors have some serious lag issues from what I can see… Tegra 2 lagged to hell and back, and I can see Tegra 3 is still quite laggy.

One launcher change isn’t going to magically free the entire device from lag. As soon as all of the S-Bloat and heavy touchwiz framework is gone, then you’re all stuck with S-Lag.

Google Docs isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty damn powerful for what it is, and covers the majority of basic needs in a document editor, plus a crapload more. It’s pretty good. Compared to Microsoft Office though, that’s another story. I still prefer using Docs over Office, though.

I wouldn’t go as far as calling it a piece of trash… But the results indeed do suck. Terribly. I took the Bing vs. Google challenge and ended up picking Google for all 5, mainly because the results were full of content and sub links (where the search result page shows a handful of links within that page).. And the results actually had something to do with what I was searching.
Not to mention, Google search takes into account your previous and similar searches, as well as location, popularity, and a shitload of factors. I can search something and find it on page 5 of Google Search (as if we ever even visit page 2), and Google will push it up in the results if I search for it again.
Bing isn’t horrible, but it’s just not good enough for me.

I’ve actually noticed this with my iPad 2, and it does become a nuisance for a while. I end up using other devices to just “calm” my eyes down. My eyes are overly sensitive too, so I get not only eye strain, but itchy eyes, watery eyes, headaches, and sometimes it makes me sneeze (my immune system is retarded).
I find myself using my laptop at times, or my Nexus 4 a lot, which probably has an air gap too, but a much more negligible one.

Except you’re not required to subsidize the phone. You’re given the option. You can pay in full, you can pay half now, some later, you can pay whatever the hell you want as long as its the minimum.

There was a huge launch update, but all that did was give us all the apps that required the update to work .(Miiverse, YouTube, eShop, Netflix, etc…)

…must remain with the carrier for 24 months unless they can pay the entire owed sum off early.
I’ve heard opponents of T-Mobile’s new plan continuously say that, yet no one can answer my rebuttal, so let me make it loud and clear, perhaps an attention grabber.
DID YOU REALLY THINK YOU WERE GETTING A $500+ PHONE FOR $99?
Obviously you have to pay the full price of the phone, one way or another. Why is this such a surprise?
