also, with the new tweaks for battery savings in the upcoming OSX Mavericks it could get even more battery… all apple laptops should theoretically get more i hope.

they really need to get rid of the Apple TV and introduce the… well, Apple TV (as in a real TV with a screen and maybe some kind of Kinect camera embedded). So you will just skip all other devices that need to connect between your iPad / iPhone and your TV, and just AirpLay directly.
This could be a real competitor to XB1 & PS4 in a few years time, when graphics chips in iOS devices will get more powerful.

9 series may not be better looking than MBP, cause that’s subjective, but at least is WAY different and you won’t mistake it for anything else and stands out as a product of its own, not a cheap KIRF.

indeed, MS ads are funny and pretty good lately, but i’m not sold on the experience yet.
My dad got a Win8 tablet a few months ago compelled that he “could do more” with it, but ended up replacing it with an iPad because he didnt do anything else with it than play some casual games, email, browse the web and make some video calls – areas where the iPad is better (at least at the moment).
This is why the iPad sold so well, because it does a few things right and is not trying to do everything, ending up doing them in a mediocre way. Still, in a few months, when good Metro apps will be available, the versatility of Win8 will surely win in the long run.

my use case is probably very rare, but i usually take my Xbox with me when i go to my uncle’s holiday house in the country-side, where there is no internet because it’s a pretty remote place. It seems this case scenario won’t work for me with the new One. I might go for PS4 if they don’t screw it up also.
