The way Yahoo was going, without change it WILL be bankrupt. Change, and risks are good, It may fail sooner than before, or, it may change enough to stay relevant in the future. Its a worthwhile risk.

Really- A company’s main objective is to make a profit??
Who would’ve known?
I’m not trying to defend EA’s shit DRM by the way- It’s just ludicrous that people are obsessed with labelling a companies intentions as good or bad. They only have one intention, profit. Sometimes they think long term and sustainable, some times they think short term. Sometimes their actions line up with the interests of consumers, sometimes they don’t.
Forget the ‘motivation’- that will always be profit. You should only be interested in how the actions effect you as a consumer, or if they are sustainable if you want the company to succeed or if you are a shareholder.
In this case, EA’s DRM was not sustainable, and hence it was ditched, which happens to be good for consumers.
