“Fired” isn’t the word you wanted to use I’m sure. “Laid off” or “let go” is more apropos. “Fired” denotes that they were incompetent or their job performance wasn’t up-to-par or there was some sort of scandal. They were let go from the company because of a financial decision of the company.

Discovering new music.
But I guess if someone has already heard a piece of music, it’s too mainstream for you, so you can’t do “Oh, I was into them before they got big”.

Doesn’t have all the artists though. No Zeppelin for one. Not that it matters to me because I have everything they’ve ever recorded including several bootleg shows. But the point is, if they don’t have that…what else are they missing?
Otherwise, I guess it’s not a bad service…Just need to get an iOS app for it now, which there is none.

Have a feeling that if the deal goes through, all those porn pages will be forbidden or else thrown behind a pain-in-the-ass log in like Yahoo is now.
I swear, I don’t know what it is, but Yahoo has the most onerous log-in and registration systems I’ve ever seen. I can’t stand it.

Okay, I’ll tackle this.
One, the sensor is vastly better than “that found in the now-sub-$400 NEX 3 line from Sony”. Yes, it’s a Micro 4/3rd’s sensor. It’s half the size of a “full frame” sensor. The only ones that are perpetuating the FUD about the MFT format are usually the legacy camera manufacturers as they do have a reason to keep people buying their big cameras. But you’d be surprised at the very high quality that a camera like the OM-D EM-5 produce. I personally know several pros that have dumped their DSLR’s and gone with the OM-D or the Panasonic GH3. There will always be pixel-peepers that will say that “oh, this is a full frame camera, therefore it HAS to be better than that little thing over there”. Yeah, that’s fine. Who cares? I know my clients care more about the final outcome than what brand camera or what the size of my sensor is. But anyway, getting back to what you were saying, no…this “thing” is much better than that found in the NEX 3
Also, the electronic viewfinder “obsession” means you can hold the camera up to your eye instead of having to hold a camera out from your body. Even with image stabilization, that’s not the most optimum way to hold a camera. Hold it to your eye, with your elbows tucked by your body and you’ve basically got a stable 3-point support, along with the IS for nice, steady shots that can be sustained for quite a while. Holding your arms out constantly does become tiring…and as a result your shots will become less steady etc. That’s one point. The other is when you have your eye to the viewfinder, all your focus is on that viewfinder. You’re concentrating on THAT alone. Harder to become distracted. Easier also to see in bright light…etc. Also, battery life is better seeing things on a smaller viewfinder than having it constantly on the back-screen. That’s just a few advantages.

that’s actually not a bad idea. The OM-D is the same price, has a built in viewfinder and is also weather-sealed.
Though I’d like to see what Olympus has up it’s sleeve to update the OM-D. Maybe the end of this year? Hmm.

You two should form your own company and design your own camera to show Fuji and Oly what they’re doing wrong…because they’re obviously doing something wrong as NO one is buying these things. Like the Fuji X100s is just sitting on store shelves collecting dust….so I think you’re onto something that they are milking these age-old, familiar, easy-to-use, decades-proven designs and should move onward!
Wait, just been informed that actually the X100s can’t be kept in stock as they’re being sold-out all over. Okay…so throw out the “nobody wants them” argument and bring out “these people are just sheep and will buy anything to be hipster” argument. Ah, that’s better. Always a justification argument waiting in the wings!
But hey, let us know when you come out with your kickstarter project on your “move onward” design.

So…what do you suggest? No warrants or wiretaps at all? While I agree they’re trying to overstep their bounds and are in a gray area of the 4th amendment, how do you propose they try to build evidence on a criminal. I mean, there ARE criminals out there in the world, you agree with that? Okay, how do you expect law enforcement (remember, they’re not ALL evil, corrupt thugs) do their jobs?
What is your solution? Anarchy? No law enforcement at all because they’re all “the man” and trying to bring us all down? “Can’t do wiretaps dude! I know a guy that has a friend that was a body builder and he did some stuff and the feds tried to bring him down…fucking pigs….screw them!” Okay, now what?

The whole “we want a backdoor built into all services so we can do wiretaps” thing shows the FBI…or who ever is running it and wanting these things…has no clue as to how computers or hackers work. You build in a back door to make it easier to wiretap and guess what, it’s then easier for the “bad guys” to exploit that back door to get into your system.
I mean, come on. Do they honestly believe “oh, this backdoor can ONLY be used by us…no one else can ever gain access to anything because we’re…special in some way”.

Yes, I know. I said as much. Guess you missed when I said “But wait, I see that I could subscribe to Photoshop only for only $20 bucks a month.” My beef was that before, when you subscribed to Photoshop only, you only got the standard edition and not the extended.
But now they’re doing away with the Extended/Standard editions it looks like and just going all Extended.

But come on…it’s either you pay for Photoshop only with a monthly subscription for $20 and only get the Standard version….or pay $50 a month to just get access to the Extended version.
Hell…I’d pay extra a month for the Extended version. Make it $24.99 or something a month. But it’s either $20 for Standard, or $50 for Extended.
Looks like they fixed this!!! Woo Hoo!

Yes, you can. My beef is that with Photoshop it’s only the Standard edition you get…not the Extended edition.

The only thing that bugs me is that I only need Photoshop. I buy and upgrade Lightroom every year, and used to do that with Photoshop…the $699 standard version and not the $999 Extended version.
Then the Creative Cloud comes along and I see I can upgrade to CS6 that has EVERYTHING (as in Photoshop Extended, Illustrator, Premier, After Effects etc) in it for (for the first year) around $30 a month. But wait, I see that I could subscribe to Photoshop only for only $20 bucks a month. Hey, I can swing that…and it will get constant updates and it will always be up-to-date. Cool.
But NO where did I read…even in the small print…that THIS version of PS was the standard only…NOT the Extended version. That sucks. I don’t NEED all that other crap in the Creative Suite. I just need Photoshop. But I can’t get Photoshop Extended unless I pay for everything. Seriously, this is just a money grab on their part.
Right now, I’m still using Photoshop CS5.1. Not sure how I’m going to upgrade….because I do really like PS CS6 all around.

Yes, that’s what I thought also..that it mainly changed in Jellybean. But this guy was adamantly rude in saying that his 4.2 equipped phone could easily move apps to an SD card, stock, no rooting etc.

So just rooting the phone will enable you to remove the bloatware? Or do you also have to install a totally different ROM to the phone?
