See – so there are like 6 apps and mostly games which he already can play on iPhone.

So? There are like 7 apps that don’t work. This is just a backup / geek phone – it surely doesn’t have to run Asphalt.

If you want a cheap device to check new apps on WP and to know when it’s ready for you to change to WP ecosystem then buy Lumia 620 as it has everything that high-end Lumias have just with lower specs.

Are you saying that PC licenses are better? Where? How? I buy plenty of software and games and PC world is simply already over this whole dispute.

8.1 Blue introduces Start Screen optional sync along with app installations sync so when you remove the app from one device, other uninstalls it too and obviously removes the tile from the Start Screen. Good times coming :)

You can’t play games from the Bluray at all on Xbox One. Even if you buy new game and put the disk in your drive it installs during your first gameplay – it’s just a matter of not having to download game online but license is being assigned to your account immediately and you can then destroy the disk and still install the game from Xbox Live servers.
Comment
That’s why I said it’s confusing as he also said this:
You take the disc, install “the bits” on every machine you have in your house from the same disc, and anybody in your household can play that game.
If that’s true and it works across multiple consoles and accounts in one household then I’m not worried. It probably is related to new Xbox Live family account and they have some clever way to enforce friends are not sharing accounts – like using Kinect face recognition to log in maybe along with geotagging so that truly only consoles in the same location can exchange licenses?
I’m not sure but I believe they actually made it quite consumer friendly.

They said you can plug any USB drive and use it for additional storage. Some people are concerned it might work only for media though so we won’t know if it supports game downloads (but it should, given quite restrictive DRM model) until somebody buys it and tries that. They also said there will be one SKU, one storage option – 500 GB.

Kinect games alone, like dance or workout games, should be amazing – just look at this video. Response is nearly instantaneous.
What I was talking about it that this Kinect might finally find use for hardcore, laying on the couch, gamers. It’s up to developers obviously but the fact that they can expect Kinect hooked to every console is a huge thing.

I have a very capable PC that I use for my work but at some point I decided playing games on PC is not so enjoyable. Nothing beats simplicity of console gaming – even Steam is far behind. I don’t mind paying more for games for having such convenience.
Comment
The biggest feature of new Kinect is not its higher resolution, better algorithms, wider lens or ability to track emotions. The biggest feature is that it is there with every Xbox One console. I think we will see many great implementations of that – improving regular gameplay too, not only dance or sport games.

Of course download price will be retail. Friend comes and visits you with new game on BluRay, he leaves and takes the disc. You loved the game, you can order it online and wait for shipping or you can buy it via online store and be able to play instantly.
Question is what happens if you decide to sell this game to a friend. Is Microsoft taking a cut? How much?
As for multiple players on one console – you definitely don’t have to buy same game several times to play on this particular console. I bet the game is active only on one console so if there is a second console in household owner of the game has to log their account and revoke permission from other console.
Overall, it seems it would be great for families with one console.

Wired: What’s going on with used games? What about borrowed games? There’s a lot of speculation today. Can you clear some of that up? For example, we have multiple Xboxes in my house and trade games all the time. If we have multiple Xbox One consoles, can we still do that?
Harrison: Absolutely, just like you can today. You take the disc, install “the bits” on every machine you have in your house from the same disc, and anybody in your household can play that game. You have exactly the same restrictions that you have today, as in only one of you can play that game at a time because you only have one disc. But anybody in that house… well, the Xbox Live account… it goes for both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One, and any user inside that house.
Wired: So as another example, if I took my disc and went to a friend’s house, would I be able to play that game on his machine?
Harrison: Yes, you can. You can take your game around to your friend’s house just as you would today — that’s assuming you have a physical disc — and what we’re doing with the new Live technology is that… with the disc, it’s just a repository for “the bits”. You can put that disc into his drive, you can play the game while you’re there, and then you go home and take that disc with you. But actually, “the bits” are still on his drive. If your friend decides that he really likes to play that game, then he can go buy it instantly, and it doesn’t need to download again. It’s already there. Once he’s paid for it, it’s immediately there.
They are still very secretive about details but it certainly sounds close to what you envision. It would be ideal if every Xbox Live account that is created on the same console can play games you bought but only one license can be used at a time (and that’s enforced thanks to daily online check).
This part is confusing:
But anybody in that house… well, the Xbox Live account…

There is no exact widely-accepted definition of what constitutes an “indie game”.
created by individuals or small teams generally without video game publisher financial support
Is Bastion an indie game or not?
Bastion is an action role-playing video game produced by independent developer Supergiant Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

And this happens all the time. Have you been to any motor show presenting new vehicles, like Geneva Motor Show? Everybody knows those are cars and they drive and they are pretty damn good at being a car already as we’ve seen with their previous versions or models so they tell you about specs, show new UI designs for navigation and integration with iPhone and obviously present “the hardware” – car body.

All of those developers are no longer indie. They earned their share of cash on Xbox 360 (and to lesser degree on other platforms) and that’s how we define indie developer – based on his budget.
Can you tell me how many indie game sequels have been published by Microsoft Studios? As far as I can tell, not many. Microsoft has always been looking to work on new titles in that space so maybe assumption that we should be looking at already successful developers is simply wrong?
I have heard so many conclusions about various things on The Verge over the last year that the world would collapse if even half of them were true. Let’s have a healthy discussion but let’s not try to spit rumors or conclusions as facts.
