i bought my first MBP because of it’s stellar resale value and build quality. resold it a year later and only lost ~250 on the thing. which seemed excellent to me after watching my GF lose half her Sony’s value in ~6 months. Infact, since i’m a mechanical engineering student most of the people around me think i’m going against the grain using a MBP instead of some monster laptop.
times seem to be a changing though, have a late 2011 MBP 15 that I just can’t seem to get rid of. But i’m still happy with the thing after an SSD upgrade so whatever i guess.

I have a Pioneer AppRadio2 that is essentially what you want.
Couple it with ARliberator from the play store and i get my entire phone on a big bright screen with a nice anti glare coating.
it really works wonderfully.

i know, blah blah gimmicky features nobody cares about, etc, etc.
I might be in the minority considering the AOSP circle jerk in here but i like using TW if it’s themed back to something more respectable. why?
thing AOSP can’t do that i actually use fairly often:
Popup browser, Multi Window, S-pen stuff, Auto dial from SMS, swype to call/SMS in contacts.
I Want to use AOSP, I’ve bought alot of nexus devices in the past and will continue to do so, But it always seems to be a case of bickering on here about ‘samsung throwing features against the wall’ and completely ignoring that some of these features stick, and work well.

who cares if they are dominating an OS? look at this.

Nokia isn’t even listed. And if you’re going to tell me Nokia running Android can’t do better than LG they should pack up now and quit.

This shouldn’t really be a huge surprise. WP8 is having a slow start in the market. and the conditions are simply not the same for a big third player in the OS race like they were in 2007 and 2008. it’s unfortunate because WP8 does some really neat things, especially moving forward with the vertical integration with the Xbox, Desktop, tablet, etc. But consumers just don’t seem to care.
Everyone always says being an Android OEM is just being a fish in the ocean. but look where Samsung got being ‘just another Android OEM’
Nokia, above anyone else could have been a hugely disruptive player in the Android ecosystem. But they’re not. And if they ever actually get the chance it might be too late.

what would you trim that would still allow it to be a fully functional pc?
because i can’t see the point in offering a OS that’s so stripped down it only runs steam (or similar) and nothing else.

the AT&T model has the same internals as the HTC one and S4? (Snapdragon 600/1080P)
everything else is pretty subjective, but i have the Note II and i’ve been looking longingly at the G pro because it has an LCD screen compared to SAMOLED. my N2 is the second device i’ve personally owned to get screen burn in over a relatively short amount of time (6 months) and i’m getting really tired of it.

i’m sure they skimmed the cards info, thats a non issue to me and i wouldn’t debate that it’s easy to pull the info from a paypass card.
what my issue is with how they emulated the card to make a purchase. i can’t find the app name or any details anywhere that indicate it’s possible to make a purchase unless you load the stolen card into google wallet or ISIS.
you do get enough info to make online purchases or ‘create’ a new card however though. which is disconcerting. a simple circuit in the card that only completed the NFC circuit if pressure was applied to a specific area would be a great solution.

FWIW you can easily sort reviews in Google Play by device type and reviews for only the current app version.

looked into it again, Android doesn’t really allow card emulation

TL;DR: Easy for android to copy the cards data, hard to emulate the card to make a purchase. i wouldn’t be surprised if movie magic was happening in that video to make their scenario a reality.

Its short sighted to think were anywhere near a wall.
Displays alone still have room to get brighter, more energy efficient, thinner bezels, curved panels, blah blah blah
