It does look like a cool idea but seems like it would work better in some rooms than others. I am pretty sure it would not work well in my living space.

I really like my nexus 7 but if I were you, I would seriously consider selling it now while the retail value is higher and pick up the next version.

Google may still have better results, I don’t know. Bing generally gives me results which I find acceptable.
IMO Bing Search + Bing Rewards > Google search.
(also I am in the US so my bing results may be better than in some locations)

They have some currency conversion, but not for as many currencies as google. Typing 10 Dollars to Euro gives a result, but 10 Dollars to BGN does not give a conversion. This is probably fine for most people but I’m sure that it upsets Vlad Savov.

nah, gigabit is not a unit of speed but of size. Maybe he was wondering how fast a gigabit of data could be transferred over a quantum network? Anyway if he asked how fast a Gbps (gigabit per second) internet connection was, then I guess you would be right.

Why do you think it will be a lot harder? Adobe has verified licenses for a long time now. Doing an active subscription check could be a similar transaction with their servers. I wouldn’t be surprised if the actual code patches look very similar for bypassing that check.

Yes, AMD has generally been stronger in graphics with their APUs. Intel has also been integrating graphics into their cpu die for about 10 years, but only now (for intel) are they becoming acceptable for anyone doing graphics work/gaming. Ivy Bridge with the HD4000 was a big improvement for them, and Haswell should be another step forward.
I’m not sure how Haswell is supposed to compare to the latest AMD APUs, however.

The CPU boost is a minor increment but the integrated graphics are a big step ahead from the HD4000 on ivy bridge.

He said desktop and was talking about screen on time, said nothing about battery.
In any case the batteries on my motherboards usually last for years…

Not true. I have had basically nonfunctional minimum spec machines using Vista and the difference with 8 is night and day on the same hardware. (They say the minimum RAM requirement for 8 is 2 GB but you can do a clean install with 1 GB or install with more and then put the 1 GB back later.) It will still not win any speed awards, but 8 gives you a functional machine on low end hardware, where vista just choked.
