If they had wanted to do that, the iPad version would’ve been out months ago.

I really don’t get this. Back when people were comparing the Surface Pro and RT to the iPad, the whole Tribe got up in arms saying that they’re different categories of devices and shouldn’t be compared, and now you guys think that such comparisons are “awesome”? What, your objective views on what a Windows 8 machine is changes on whether or not it can beat the iPad in some randomly selected categories? Were Apple to air an ad praising the iPad’s brilliant screen, library of touch-optimized apps and battery life, I bet all of you would go “but this isn’t the same kinda device” or something.

I was about to make a similar post! Nothing here yet. I even signed up for that damned newsletter, but no theme! I bet that Analog Camera has a theme, though.

The “no compromise” approach never works.
Wasn’t the iPhone an attempt at one of those? It has turned out pretty fine, if you ask me.
Nothing is good or bad inherently.
Windows 8’s problem is that 27 inches of Xbox Music is about as useful as 8.1 inches of Excel. The compromises they made were too ridiculous. To this day, I don’t understand why they couldn’t have two separate OSes, one being what RT is now, and the other being the new Windows 8 desktop. The One doesn’t seem to make such ridiculous choices, IMO.

I’ve been using a dev unit for about a half-year now, for an hour-and-a-half stretches spent mostly just demoing it, and so far I’ve had no such concerns.

From a consumer’s pov, 16GB just cannot be good, but considering that higher storage models drive in more cash, I don’t see it dying soon, at least for the iPhone. iPhone will be 16, 64, 128; iPad 32, 64, 128, IMHO.

Given that many people find 16GB to be more than enough already, and 32GB is sure to be a huge amount of storage for most, given on current sales pattern, I’d put my money on the latter dying out. Think about it: Apple makes more money from higher storage options. 48GB for $100 is too sweet a deal and may move the ASP to a higher level.

If uploading photos to a social network is all you want, then sure, Oggl is Instagram for you guys, okay?
But are you seriously telling me you use PowerPoint or Excel on a 4.5 inch screen (at max)? And that it is a fluid experience on 3.8" devices which can’t run Temple Run?
Word seems nice, but unless you need a proper word processor, a text editor is more than enough for most. Also, again, on a screen that small?

I have a N9
You lucky, lucky bastard! I’m still hunting for a cyan one.
Windows Phone is Lumia, agreed, but that hardware has largely been derived from the N9.

I believe Windows Phone is what gives this phone and the N920 Identity
Dude, you forgot the N9? While WP and the same design style blend surprisingly well, it’s no secret that the N9 has heavily inspired Lumia hardware, more so than WP, I believe.

Thank you for this. It was Facebook for a couple of years, then tumblr for a while, then a short period with Twitter and now it’s Instagram. You kinda HAVE TO join any network it is that your friends use.

Anecdotal evidence is useless, man. It’s not that Instagram isn’t a dealbreaker, but Instagram isn’t a dealbreaker for you.

Instagram is basically useless
*for you. Some people like it, some don’t. One person’s or a small group’s viewpoint may not, and in most cases almost certainly will not be shared by everyone.

Man, I can almost smell all the WP fans barrelling down to complain about how Instagram is useless, and WP has all the other apps anyway.
