You’re question is somewhat messed up. The price difference between the two devices is astronomical.

If you’re willing to spend that much, then there’s no reason for you not to get the HTC One.

If you want pure android, get either the Nexus 4 or the GS4 Google Edition:

Nexus 4: Cheaper, really fast, better looking hardware than the GS4, non-PenTile screen.
SGS4 GE: Expensive, fast too, better camera and 1080p screen.

I use Astro File Manager. Its quite pretty if you change the icons to “Medium” size and it has Box and Dropbox integration as well as Facebook Album support,

Ooooh its almost useless to me without that. I’ve come to depend on its automatic nature so much that I don’t even think about it anymore. Like when you search for a movie playing on some theater on your laptop and as soon as you pick up your phone, the directions to the theater are already there. Without alerts, more than half the usefulness of Now goes in the trash.
