I'm from Australia and believe it or not... tech does exist down here! The whole carrier control thing in the USA is pretty ridiculous. Getting my hands on current or even previous generation gadgets can be pretty tricky being a student and all. Travelling is fantastic and i want to do it again. Direction can be pretty hard to find.
