This is nothing special considering ARM SoCs have already been announced with 3D and 4K support from as far back as last year.

PC isn’t dead, it’s just been on hiatus with consumers waiting for 2nd generation Windows 8 tablet/laptop hybrids with better battery life, improved graphics performance and competitive pricing. If anything, ARM tablet sales will flatten out 2013-2014 in favor of x86-64 Windows 8 tablet/laptop hybrids. ARM tablets has been fun but I’m ready to replace it with 2nd gen x86-64 Windows 8.

80C+ under load is way too hot and reminds me of the mistake called the Nvidia 9800GX2. What a hot running badly designed unstable piece of garbage that was and all I got in return was a heated room. That card deserves a class action lawsuit.

It should be a law to make it illegal to cover up privacy breach due to incompetency and complacency with litigation. Nationwide Insurance and affiliates suffered a privacy breach and tried to sweep it under the rug by only informing a small subset of their customers instead of all their customers.

iPad will take a back seat to Windows 8 tablet with equivalent battery life and price. Simply, Windows 8 can run more professional software and with a more extensive selection. Only way for Apple to counter is with a proper OS X tablet hybrid not that 3rd party hack job.

Can’t speak for everyone but marketing had no factor when I bought Galaxy because the product speaks for itself.
The message I take away from reading this article is that a company that designs and manufactures its own components has an industry advantage. That to me is Samsung, LG and maybe Sony. On the other hand, what’s the next company to suffer after HTC? Apple and to a lesser extent Nokia.

How NTC has evolved. The training doctrine used to be geared towards countering a large scale Soviet style mechanized armor threat. The type of conflict seen with the 2001 Desert Storm Gulf War with columns of armor rolling across the desert toward their objectives and supported by air. The realistic training provided here was instrumental for that quick victory and low losses. Hoping for continued success with the evolved NTC.
The training was non-stop for days at a time. For the armor crew it was common to carry an empty 2-liter because you don’t have the convenience of calling timeout and falling out of column formation for restroom break. Only authorized timeout was when red smoke was popped in the distance which usually signalled blufor suffered a heat stroke from not being acclimated to the high temperature and had to be medevac back to the rear. Opfor’s training involved running around base and playing volleyball in mop level 4 so that wasn’t an issue.

The competition that Google provides will also benefit Apple consumers since it forces Apple to price fix their their service more reasonably when they get around to releasing it. And, it gives Apple a great example to model after.

Very unlikely a technical limitation and more likely a DRM issue where someone could capture the high quality non-DRM audio output to file.

The quality was top notch but the TI OMAP was outdated. Reintroduce it with Exynos Octa or Snapdragon 800. Or, possibly consider making the SoC modular and upgrade-able.

There were pessimistic people, too, when the mobile phone was introduced but it didn’t stop it from evolving as technology, performance, capabilities, battery life, miniaturization, etc. improved. As far as #1, if you can’t afford it you can always buy something else like an Apple device.

A 2013 flagship device shouldn’t have a deficient 16GB internal flash storage especially for a company that manufactures flash memory components. You really have no excuse Samsung.

Sucking Microsoft leeches. If they’re not stealing from Android through fraudulent patent licenses they’re stealing ad supported Google services minus the ads. Google should press charges for theft of service.

This! Only Google music search nailed it identifying a song in a venue with background noise when pitted against iOS. And, for $7.99/month it’s a done deal.
