Two reasons it won’t work.
1: You don’t make them treat customers with respect, they won’t treat customers with respect.
2: It’s naïve belief in the free marketplace that keeps republicans in the dark when it comes to technology, and keeps America way behind many other countries when it comes to Internet bandwidth, TV programming, and consumer protection.
Cable providers have monopolies in the communities where they provide their services. That’s not going to change. And some “please do right by the consumer pretty please with sugar on it” BS will not cause them to change.

I have heard of him, being a pro photographer and photo editor. :-)
He uses Profoto lights? So do I! Best in the business. Well, okay, maybe Broncolors. I have used them in the past. But I love my Profotos in the studio. Broncolors are so heavy when I took them on location it felt like my elbow would separate!
Great stuff. And some good ideas for lighting in that video.

I’ve been noticing that AT&T sometimes doesn’t allows Messages to send texts to my girlfriend, and forces it to SMS, when there is clearly a working data connection to the Internet.
Could it be they’re prepping a counter-attack?

Wrong, they built up too many categories of computers. There were no toasters or microwaves. Is this what passes for making a point these days?

I don’t know what you’re smoking, but it must be strong stuff. Last time I checked, it was the idiots on Wall Street that are the problem.

Intel introduced Thunderbolt. It was designed with Apple’s collaboration, and Intel even had Apple register the trademark for them. Thus the confusion.
As for the Mac Pro issue, they are waiting for Intel to introduce chipsets for Xeon processors that support USB 3 and Thunderbolt. Can you imagine the outcry from video pros if the new Mac Pro did not support Thunderbolt? Or even USB 3? You can’t just add a PCIe card to a computer to give it Thunderbolt. You have to bake it into the chipset. Those Intel chipsets are due for release in July. Thus the promise of new Mac Pros in late 2013 from Tim Cook a year ago.
Last of all, how is his comment blaming Apple’s user? If there’s blame in that area, it’s the Apple detractors that are the problem. They’re the ones setting ridiculous expectations and saying Apple is failing when they don’t innovate three new product categories by lunch.

No, it failed because it was a massive violation of user privacy.
