I’m fairly happy with Timeline actually, and instead of complicating things, I see it as a simplification, The new adding birthdays as a single event that everyone comments on is wonderful, and if I want to go back and look at my wall/profile, searching is simplified. I generally am unhappy with most changes Facebook makes, but this one was welcomed, and its seems like it was more positively received than other changes (Looking at you facebook ticker)

Is this basically a pick your own adventure book? Because thats the interactivity the screenshots are showing me.

Honestly, I’m a student at University, and the fact that this is a tech-enriched environment doesn’t make abstention from the internet easier, it makes it harder. This year I attempted to go a week without the Internet, and broke down half way through simply because I was using it anyway to get to E-mail, which sucked, and then I ended up doing things online even though I swore myself off it, maybe I lack self-control.

Point is, its not like If the Internet was taken away from me it’d be hard. If I took a week off to go to the beach or whatever and didn’t take my laptop with me and I didn’t use cellular internet due to roaming charges, then it wouldn’t be hard for me, and I know because I’ve gone weeks without the Internet before.

Its not nearly as hard to quit cigarettes in an area where cigarettes aren’t sold, but with smokers all around you and what not, I’d say its quite difficult.
