The Incredibles is my fav Pixar film so far and I hope the follow up is just as good. But to put Brave at the same level is blasphemy. Brave was hardly on the same level in the story dept. Looks? Absolutely! But it was pretty much The Little Mermaid in Ireland.
Saying that is like saying Apple aped skeumorphism from other places too.
Yes MS did “ape” their metro design ideas from train station signs, etc. But they fully implemented it in ALL their products to create a universal approach to UIs.
Isn’t the carrier also to blame here? VZ is notorious for being the carrier to remove functionality from phones and being a “Corporate” company in general? I wouldn’t put it past them if they said, “Love the phone but all those colors need to go. Just give us black and white.”
