This is gen 1 stuff from Win8 tablets. The minimum res is 1366×768 for a reason. It’s not completely disappointing on a 12.5" screen.

But just because there are fewer cookies to be earned does not mean that predicting new features of an Apple device isn’t noteworthy, just less noteworthy than normal.

Yes, the current iPhone design is more fragile than a traditional slate phone.

However, I find it miraculous that Apple managed to make such an inherently fragile device as robust as it is.

I agree that Apple values aesthetics greatly, and that’s why they have to dump R&D time to wring every last ounce of practicality out of their design-centric devices.

Apple dumps a metric crapton into R&D. They couldn’t manage to create two phones a year. Quality would suffer.
