If he were just doing this personally and quietly I’d believe all of that crap. But the fact that this is such a huge feature on The Verge and they keep playing up the novelty of it makes me gag. That little separator on the Vergecast so he couldn’t even possibly see Nilay’s computer confirmed to me that this is a stupid stunt. He may believe that he’s doing this “the right way” and for “the right reasons”, but it’s evolved at this point to something silly and groan-worthy.

I would surely buy the Steam version for achievements, Steam Cloud, library syncing, my Steam friends list, and the overall Steam community.
