They can’t prove its worth including Kinect without actually including it, that’s the whole point. Kinect 2.0 has massive capabilities. That they have proved. Including it, means all developers can use it with out worry of having to make work around for those who don’t have it.

Finally someone who gets it!!! This 100%
I genuinely think people are missing a lot of interesting bits for the XB1 with all the rage going around.
Kinect 2.0 could bring brilliant things to games, without you even realising your doing anything due to its mood/facial/heartbeat recognition alone.
Cloud computing might not be amazing right now, but in the space of just a few years my home internet connection has gone from just under 1Mbps to 86Mbps, MS would not have spent LOTs of money on 300,000 new servers, just the cover up the fact the XB1 has less power than the PS4.
Yes the used game scenario is shitty, but I actually I would prefer the family game sharing scenario, and being able to access ALL of my games from any friends consoles, by just logging in, way more than having a physical disc. Digital media is the way forwards, music’s gone that way, TV and movies are going that way, and so will gaming. MS is just looking to the future.
PS4 is probably the better proposition right now, but if you look into the future, I think the XB1 could be.

That depends on how things progress on either console. The XB1 has the potential to do more in “next-gen” gaming if as people are saying here “next-gen” isn’t about graphics.

This online 24hr check is because of the disc based games.
The disc based games simply install to the console and the disc is never used, if they didn’t have the check you could install it on multiple consoles and MS would never know, so they need to have the check to see if that disc has been installed on another console.
If anything does change, I expect it will be no online check needed for digital purchases.
All of the problems that people don’t like surrounding the Xbox 1 have come because MS has tried to jump to the future (which will be all digital and no physical media.) But they have tried to keep the old way, but in a round about trying to drag it in to the furture way of doing things.
Personally, although the PS4 is more powerful, I think people are missing a lot of the interesting new features that the XB1 is bringing to the table.
And I REALLY do think Kinect being included is a good idea, I don’t want gimmicky motion control things being in all my games, but ironically, now Kinect is that much more sensitive, it will now react without you needing to wave about like an idiot. So the implementation could be much more subtle but add to the overall depth of a game. Either way, I will end up with both, currently I am going for the XB1 at launch, simply because there are a bunch more games I want at launch than on the PS4.

Only this is wrong, for the XB1, can I loan a game to my friend? = Yes, and you can keep the game on your console at the same time, you can loan it up to 10 people at once, just only 1 can play it at a time.
The 30 day and once only thing is more about “Gifting/Selling” to a friend.
The rest is pretty much spot on though, except not 100% sure if Sonys DRM what you like tactic could inflict on point two.
I did pre-order an XB1, not because I like the model, I think its stupid and annoying, but there are a bunch of games I really want, and theres nothing I want on the PS4 bar maybe Second Son.
TBH, I think I am going to cancel my XB1 pre-order and stick with my PC for a bit, and see what happens with these consoles, and games prices and so on.
It may sound stupid, but I do think its a omission that you need to disc to play PS4 games, I hated that about the Xbox 360 and PS3 and even began buying games a direct downloads so it was a more streamlined experience.
I have pretty much come to the conclusion now though, that both the consoles aren’t good enough, the XB1 has stupid restrictions but lots of interesting games, the PS4 is a great console, but what good is a great console if there aren’t any interesting games that I want on it.

Yey! This actually looks like a Metrofied version of Zune! EXACTLY what they should have done in the first place.
Hoping their servers are sped up a bit, I am surprised I never hear anyone complaining about this. Its my biggest complaint about XBMusic, even on a 86Mbps connection with about 5ms ping, sometimes I will click play and itll take about 5 seconds before it plays, same on my phone. Sometimes its even worse! I assume its something to do with DRM checking, what ever it is, it NEEDs to be quicker.

The bigger worry is if they have all of this access, and it happened without actual public knowledge. What’s to stop them using it to start targeting for anything?
I don’t care if people think they have nothing to hide, everyone everywhere breaks laws sometimes somehow, no matter how small.
Also, the bigger worry, if there is a backdoor into all these systems, how long will it be before some hacker exploits the backdoor, then all our information is vulnerable to who ever manages it.
Its a very risky game to be playing, and a massive line to cross in the name of supposed terrorism.

Have a HTC One at work and a 920 at home. Got the HTC One, for the first 10 mins I loved the blink feed… 10 mins later, I was kind of bored of it. and the way it scrolls through everything gets frustrating, because you can only do it blocks at a time.
The screen on the HTC One is amazing though.
And while people go on about the build quality of the HTC One, it looks great from a distance and feels good in the hand (expect for the stupidly placed power button) when you look close, you can see they haven’t focused on the little details, there are rough edges on bits like the microusb port, and the holes for the microphones and stuff like that aren’t finished anywhere nearly as nicely as they should be.

Im calling a new Xbox 360, that’s tiny and low power, sits on top of the One on the left so it fits the same shape. Can connect to the One through USB 3.0 to use its drive for 360 discs, so the One can play 360 games from it aswell.
With out a One, its a basic media box that can play all of the Xbox Live Arcade and On demand games.
We can hope!
