I agree it tears people apart but at the same time it unites people into smaller groups, at least temporarily. They can be united by hating someone/something else. It gives them something in common.
Survival of the fittest. Maybe some of those people who hurt themselves or kill themselves deserve to go for being foolish enough to mess around with such things. We need stupid people to kill themselves to help keep the population down. If it wasn’t for stupid people killing themselves, can you imagine how full the planet may be today? I say lets give the foolish more ways to end it. I’m really unsure if I’m joking or not at this point.
But people love their parties to much. It makes them feel special. The feel united with the other like minded individuals. They are brought together by their hatred for the other side. Anyone who thinks differently. This will keep the 2 party system thriving. Hate will keep us together.
Unless your boss is the highest bidder and decides to condemn you to have a history involving a donkey and being arrested for bestiality. It could all be fun and games at, a messed up April Fools Prank, then PETA starts to go after and next thing you know you can’t go outside without people throwing buckets of donkey waste on you.
I think that’s a solid, believable, a likely scenario fitting what he was talking about…
