I hope this has no negative effect on carriers that choose to only offer services in their country of origin. I’m extremely happy to only pay 20€ a month for unlimited and uncapped 100mb LTE. Or even 12€ for unlimited uncapped 20mb HSDPA/DC network usage.
If Sonera is an example of what a EU wide carrier would cost, I’ll still say NO THANKS…. Their 2GB bandwith cap before they drop you down to 500kbs 3G speeds is ridiculous. However even that is still not as bad as the overage fees some national American carriers charge per megabyte if you somehow manage to go over some rediculously low data cap.

Well if the cons are created by rooting the device then yeah- think its best to not confuse people. It would have been another thing to say that 16GB of internal storage on the device isn’t enough considering the price point, but to point out a flaw in the MicroSD card capability that isn’t even supported officially is a bit dubious.

Hah, yeah I didn’t manage to edit my message. I only realized the guy was talking about the GS4 with stock after hitting up the reply… in my defense, this thread was refreshing constantly when I wrote the message and I may have read the OP a bit too lightly :P
Anyway, ultimately the reason to go for the GS4 is going to be the replaceable battery, the expansion slot. Possibly because it’ll have wider accessory adoption- but that’s really not so significant as most of them require the wiz but another thing might be slightly that the device is easier to take apart? For some those are as good a reason to choose a device on as good industrial design, and more internal storage.

…egh, don’t start on that in this thread. We’re all getting what we want and you still want to try and debate people into realizing the differences of these 2 devices?

All those people that sadly already bought it… Here’s hoping this means anyone that did buy those bloatware versions can find a way to just make them google supported devices.

It sure is pretty cool that there is such a website, although it makes me kind of wonder how very frequent kidnappings are/were in China?
Also more on the whole google earth point, who knows how many suggestions he received from other volunteers for possible locations? It’s still cool in my book that we have services online to make things like this possible, at each step of the story.
