I wish Flickr had native batch-download capability when owners provide permission. I have several professional photographers in my extended family and when they take photos of my kids and post them just for our family online, I have to use a third party add-on or download them individually to get the original size photos. I understand that batch downloading is not ideal by default but for certain people that the photo owner trusts, it would be really helpful. Nevertheless, I do appreciate the Flickr refresh today. Looks like a big step forward.
I believe TV viewers want to watch a show at their convenience without ads, which a DVR/TiVo essentially offers today on the First Screen. There has to be a motivation to get people to switch. This is a step in the right direction but it isn’t enough to get people to switch.
What is to prevent someone from lying by liking everything/everyone (to find out who is like you)? I appreciate the ingenuity behind only giving secrets away to people with similar secrets but the concept needs a way to dissuade lying.
