Short answer: no. If iOS 7 disappoints, then Apple have been sat around twiddling their thumbs since iOS 6. With Ive at the helm, I don’t believe that’s what they’ve been doing.

Another company shamelessly copying Apple products. They all seem jealous of something.

Social network integration with production programmes just seems like an after thought and something I wouldn’t really use even if it was functional.

I know, but to my knowledge you aren’t able to choose which groups to add your photos to on upload. This is the only reason I don’t upload via Lightroom.

Nevermind iOS, Flickr should have deeper integration with Photoshop and Lightroom. I want to be able to choose which groups to add my photos to and upload them right after editing.

I’d say wait. I want a nifty Mac laptop with some punch behind it for my Lightroom work, I don’t need a complete powerhouse though (15" rMPB). I’ve decided to wait with the promise of Haswell giving up to 15% performance increase and a significant boost to GPU performance – something often criticised on the 13" rMBP. I’m also hoping it’ll have given them chance to iron out these screen issues and get it perfect. They do say avoid first generation products…

I don’t really see this as an issue. If these many SMS apps are available on every platform then you and your contacts just need to pick your favourite app and go with it. Then you’ll have no problems using your SMS apps with all of your contacts – providing their all happy to use the same app as you. WhatsApp has been doing this pretty well for a while now. I see it as an almost industry standard SMS app now with lots of people preferring it over normal texts and other SMS apps.

With the recent camera focused ads for iPhone (at least in the UK), it’s clear Apple are aware how important and influential a camera the iPhone is and I believe that will show through in the next iPhone.

Urgh, I don’t understand how Verge quoting works and the timed editing is ridiculously annoying and unnecessary. But yeah, I hope my comment made sense.

Really interesting to read from a photography point of view. I particularly liked the part where he spoke about how much post processing the images need. bq. no matter how well a product is made, when you magnify it at 100 percent, you see more than the human eye can see. Something that looks smooth as you hold it will have scratches, chips and other imperfections once magnified bq. Every millimetre of the product being photographed is blown up and looked at and perfected until the products look like they’re un surreal pristine condition. A really interesting read, thanks for this Verge!

Saying you “won’t bother updating” is such a pathetic and childish thing to say. Updating iOS could not be easier on any of your devices that it really doesn’t put you out of your way to make sure your devices are running the latest software. You may have issues with it/it’s not what you expected, but not updating is just silly and a useless thing to say.

I wasn’t necessarily talking about a Windows PC. I was referring to the notion that anything that isn’t a Mac isn’t even worth owning. I love Macs, but it’s the ignorance of a minor number of users that annoys me.

“Lagging like a PC?” That sentence immediately made me stop reading your post. Macs are great, but ignorance is not.

I think they’ll allow the iPad mini to love out a year before replacing it. So I’d expect an update in the winter probably.

I doubt it’s actually Tim Cook’s decision as to what names products get. I imagine it’s a mutual discussion between the whole design team / who ever is involved with the creation of a new product. To answer your question, “iPhone mini?” Or simply “iPhone” with no number? It will be interesting to see what they do name it. If it even exists at all.
