Yahoo is one great designer/rebranding away from being a big problem. If it does acquire Tumblr it has something google doesn’t have yet. A robust social network.

So Intel wants to get into the TV game with hardware and services at the end of the year. Supposedly they are working closely with networks to make content deals. Wonder if that has to do with this support for SoftBank as opposed to Dish, a satellite provider who is often at odd with some networks?

This is not a very smart request. You still can’t use the phone on other carriers. They’re still going to charge you the same price. It’s just now you have to pay out of pocket for the full price of the phone. Why not demand phones that aren’t locked to one carrier first?
Also if you’re with Verizon you’re there because of coverage not price. No one matches Verizon on reliability and overall coverage. So where exactly would you go if you left?

Just watched the first 2 episodes. Cinematography is pretty good but casting director should have been fired. The story isn’t so bad, it’s really the acting. Famke Jannsen character’s accent is just horrible. I really don’t know what the accent is supposed to be. I just yelled at the screen for her to stop speaking. She speaks in a vernacular that doesn’t exist. The actor that plays her son is a James Dean look alike that broods in a very awkward manner. Awkward, I tell you. It seems there is a huge disconnect between the actors and the characters they play. There’s just a lack of “Oh my god, this is getting really good” feeling. It’s pretty blah. I have a 3 episode rule. I understand that it may take a little longer to get the story going but the acting is just bad. I’ll try to watch the whole thing and pray it gets better.
