I’d release an HTC One Google Edition, then you wouldn’t hear from us until next year. Then around this time in 2014, I’d release 3 phones.

1. a 5" 1080p edge-to-edge successor to the One to take on iPhone 6 and Galaxy S 5
2. a 4" 720p version of the phone above
3. a Google Nexus device

Cloud based gaming like OnLive? I could see Google bringing that up in a meeting. Heck, they probably have a team working on something like that. But I don’t think they want to bring PC games to Android as much as they want Android games to look as good as PC games.

Take the NVIDIA Shield for example, mobile SoC’s are plenty powerful to run great looking games natively without having to stream a video feed from a game server (a la OnLive). The Nexus Q was rocking an OMAP4, so streaming would have been the only option. If they included a Tegra 3, then I would bet money on them wanting to turn it into a Steambox competitor.

I saw a deal today for a wired Xbox controller for $25. Pair that up with a $299 32GB Nexus 7 with HSPA+ capability, and you’re probably at the same price after taxes and shipping. Or use an Xbox controller that you already have, and buy the 16GB Nexus 7 wifi for $199.

But for a Tegra 4, portability, compatibility (I hope… some games don’t like USB OTG for me), better speakers, and 802.11n 2×2 Mimo Wi-Fi… $349 sounds about right.
