Does not compute… Obviously they’re not expecting everybody to get to 1TB but its still crazy that it is an option when Apple and DropBox charge an arm and a leg for 100GB.

DailyMotion in the 31st most visited site in the world attracting over 100 million monthly visitors while Vimeo gets around 70 million. It is in terms of scope most closely aligned to YouTube’s audience and variety of content but YouTube has the critical mass. That’s why DailyMotion sold to Orange for $168M in 2013 and not $1.65B in 2006, it would be a poor decision to invest money then pay hand-over-fist for content and marketing (a la Bing) while YouTube gains that audience whenever Psy puts out a new video.

I thought those headlines were stupid rumours, looks like I was wrong but it was the wrong high-end Android device to make stock.

Even though the Lumia sounds significantly better in the video above and could see everyday people loving the difference, I don’t think professionals would care if their phone had a HACC microphone or not, I have seen pro videos shot with the iPhone 4S/5 with audio taken care of by an external/stand-alone solution in very much the same way a photographer with an iPhone 5 uses an external light + reflector.

The board deserves to be cynical considering that Icahn has a reputation as a corporate raider and will likely repeat with Dell.

Yeah, I know London is a massive hence all the zones but 12,000+ people per square mile is makes it one of the densest cities in the developed world (even compared to Amsterdam). LA is less than two-thirds the density and Edmonton (the least dense city over a million in Canada) is around 2800+ people per of London.

How do they charge the 36GBP? Is it just cost per trip or do they charge for distance as well?
In my travels, I was most impressed by the Bay Area heavy rail. The BART takes cards and they definitely track you but anyone can get one without punching their name in.

Is parking in the city still hard to come by? I know that in Ottawa, Canada, government employees got their subsidized parking passes taken away and now the buses are now pushed to capacity while LRT construction can’t come soon enough.

I think population density might matter more than population itself, if I recall, London and Paris are really dense cities. Metro LA is pretty spread out and most daily commuters travel by car. Of those that do take public transit in LA, the majority are non-whites.
I wish every city with a population over a million had the Oyster or Smart Fare cards. Just being able to experiment with payment methods would be worth it.

I didn’t think too much about bikes, a few cities in Canada are adding bike routes to spur cycling to and from work but N. America doesn’t have the same biking culture as Europe where winter and fashion choice does not inhibit riding (i.e Copenhagen). I’d definitely like to bike more but I don’t trust the notoriously bad drivers where I live.
My issue with SUVs is not that they are unnecessary but there are/were tax credits for purchasing them and it makes the some driver’s feel invincible and drive more recklessly.

I’ve always been unimpressed by iPhones despite owning more than a few in my time. Other than recommending phones to my friends according to their needs and my preferences, I don’t think I changed the lives of those around me plus they ended up getting iPhones anyways.

I have managed to convert a good amount of my friends to GroupMe. There doesn’t seem to be better way to communicate for Book and Beer Clubs (on iOS and Android at least, the WP app is terrible.)
Most of my friends use iMessage (though I keep it off intentionally because I prefer to avoid ecosystems and stick with SMS) and Facebook Messenger because they end up being the default out of sheer numbers.

To actually answer your question, Elgato makes the Game capture HD which is a good option and really well reviewed.
Roxio makes a product with a similar name that is a bit cheaper, so worth a look.
