I’m an Android user but I’ve never ever used Flash on my browser. It just slows down the whole experience and eats up battery. At the end of the day, pretty much all videos can be played because they’re uploaded in YouTube, which basically means that most sites embed them in HTML5. So I really don’t see the problem. Why would I even want Flash ads on my Chrome Beta browser? It’s crazy.

The problem lies with Samsung hyping up the SGSIII to be something groundbreaking and fresh. Something that would make its owners tand out from “the sheep.” Then they come out with, while a great upgrade IMHO (I own a SGSII and love it), something that doesn’t live up to the hype they generated. In terms of design, the HTC One blows this out of the water. Twiz is as ugly as ever (in fact I think it’s getting uglier) and Samsung continues to bastardize Android’s great features while providing Apple copy software like S Voice, complete with a Siri like interface.
Samsung has to understand that as the undisputed champion of Android manufacturers, it’s now being held in the same standards as Apple. Now they know that it’s not that easy to please people. You have to exceed standards set. What they did this time around was play it safe. They knew they would sell millions regardless but why settle? That’s the gist of Vlad’s piece. You were beginning to gain momentum and you had to become complacent. Way to go Samsung.
