I think Larry Page is not going to be the next Steve Jobs.
I know it soudns kinda cheesy but… He’s better, in my opinion.
Like Nilay said, when he spoke at that last hour on the keynote, in the front of the earth spinning on the new Google Maps, it was a really powerful moment, and the voice… It was so nice to hear him speak.
Steve Jobs – and we all know this – was an arrogant smartass, most of the time. He was competitive. That goes against everything Larry mentioned in the keynote – about being friendly and interoperating with other companies to make progress.
No, Larry is not going to be the next Steve Jobs. We should be asking ourselves “Who will be the next Larry Page?” instead.

True. Joshua once made a forum post on Meta saying that it’s not about the pageviews. I want him to see the title of this article and tell me otherwise.

Implying Google Now isn’t Holo. Please, just go. We don’t need this debate again.

The new Music app doesn’t recognize my songs from my internal storage. It only shows two songs. No idea why.
Those will probably be fixed with time.

No, that wasn’t a leak. That was a mockup made by an UI designer to show off what Babel could possibly be.

I feel so… dirty.
Nexus always felt like the right choice for Android. It might not be the most groundbreaking experience, but it is the cleanest. Google designed it this way, of course.
But with Samsung, it’s different. They have a business model, they want money more than everything.
It is an amazing phone, indeed, but it feels wrong. No onscreen buttons, no swipe to open Google Now, no clean black front design.
Feels ordinary.

I think we started seeing the icon as something related to the terrible Music app. Without ever looking at the app, someone would find it pretty awesome, actually.

So, is there any way to purchase music outside of the US?
It used to be sort of easy, but now it seems Google takes all of your information and proxies, VPNs, etc; don’t work.

That’s what I thought.
Releasing products together make sure that the experience isn’t different, and the hardware is somewhat similar.
Besides, Android update + Nexus 4 + Nexus 7 + Nexus 10: Geeks drowning in tears of joy.

You know that feel when YOUR ENTIRE LIFE DEPENDS ON ONE EVENT AND YOU CAN’T JUST GO CRAZY ALL BY YOURSELF, YOU HAVE TO MAKE OTHER PEOPLE GO CRAZY. YOU NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT. YOU NEED TO SCREAM, AND SIMPLY DOWNLOADING THE GOOGLE I/O APP AND LOOKING AT THE COUNTDOWN JUST WON’T WORK? Yeah.
