I doubt we will see a new one this year, other than the Nexus 4 in white of course.
With the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One coming to Nexus there is just no big reason to speed along another Nexus this fall. I just can’t see what they could, or would update (other than LTE possibly) and still keep the Nexus 4 price point in tact. It’s still ahead of the curve from most Android phones, and it keeps up nicely with the big hitters like the One and S4.
I already plan too. Apple’s services are a joke. This past month alone I’ve had 3 instances of iMessage downtimes that affected me. iCloud is still pretty weak, Siri too. Don’t even get me started on Apple Maps and Passbook. iOS 6 was a pretty pathetic step backwards, meanwhile Google is ratcheting up the fire where it counts. Their online services smokes Apple, Google Now is at a point it’s making Siri look brain damaged, the new cross platform Hangouts finally unifies messaging everywhere and is very well done, Google Maps is stellar, and the new Google Music All Access is pretty sweet.
I just don’t see any reason to continue to pay out the nose for the iPhone when it’s behind Android in just about every measurable sense now, and all everyone is hoping for is a UI refresh because iOS looks dated??? Google has really pushed ahead in features and services over the last year while Apple pumped out piss poor stuff like Passbook and Maps, and hasn’t done anything meaningful with Siri, iCloud, or iMessage/FaceTime since they rolled out.
It’s greatness. The radio function is tremendous with what it mixes in. I love being able to just add a song or album to my library. The downsides however, not enough ways to access it at this time. Just through a web browser or Android device. No iOS, Windows, or Mac apps yet. But I have already cancelled Spotify for it.
