You do bring some valid points, however I do see a market for Windows Phone in the future. Fragmentation was one of the biggest reasons why I didn’t buy an Android phone because the platform generally seems inconsistent in terms of user experience.
Second problem I have with Android is that alot of high-end phones are increasing screen szie and if you are in the market for anything around 4, you pretty much have to settle for a mid-range and lose out on the experience.
I settled for Windows Phone because buying an Iphone with a contract was flat out expensive and I reasonable alternative was Windows Phone. It provides a similar consistent ecosystem as IOS, but lacks the content and I was fully aware of this when I purchased the phone.
If Nokia and MS get their acts together in order to minimize prices and attract people who arrent interested in getting contracts, I think they can win in this segment.
