Well damn, I was hoping we could have gotten some 7G on our phones at those speeds.
At least I can stream direct to my TV without having to connect it. Hopefully I won’t ever notice the frame delay in video games if this ever get game console applications… or even PC implementation.

It’s funny, but this is the first thing I thought when all this browser non-sense came about on a still unreleased product. Wound Mozilla’s pride (ans sort of give the middle finger to the EC) by removing all browsers from Desktop WOA. Sadly, I don’t think Microsoft has the balls to do such a thing. I know I would if I were the CEO of the company… even if to the detriment of my stay as one.

Their idea was to create a Brower that will use the same library as the desktop version , which would have made their work easy .
Solution: recode the whole thing from scratch
It may be the one with the longest time-to-release, but at least all Windows versions of Firefox will work the same.

But, even Windows 7 has support for multi-touch trackpads. The problem with them is that the companies don’t want to invest in making them larger for people so their usability is quite lacking.

There’s a problem with that. They already have them all or will have even better APIs than what Win32 could provide. Microsoft made .NET for this very moment… they knew they will eventually have to support more than one architecture.

Does this mean that you could theoretically create a website as an application for Windows on the Metro site?
I could see the being useful to web devs trying to make their website apps that just feel like websites…. but are more “dynamic and engaging”, if that’s the phrase that could apply to the situation.

Dude, they said that you could install any browsers that you want… just not in the desktop.
But at least you are actually making more sense than Google and Mozilla with regards to choice.

Take it to their marketing department. The Verge has no real weight on whether MS decides to add or remove features on their OS.
Now, to repeat…
Windows 8 can run Chrome and Firefox in desktop and metro mode.
Windows RT will not have access to all the metro apps as Windows 8, but they will not get desktop apps outside of what is bundled in.
“Windows 8” is not the same as “Windows RT” despite sharing much of the codebase and the same API structure.

But, get this…
Wait, wait… get this…
Windows RT doesn’t have all the necessary APIs coded to run most desktop apps correctly, which could lead to bugs and crashes, among other things. Office on ARM is pulling major shenanigans in the back code too.
The way I see it, they’re trying to prevent the whole “EEE” outcry that would ensue when they finally decide to remove the desktop from Windows RT, which is what I expect them to do within the next two or three releases..

Try fanboi geeks that will pitch their bad sales pitch to discredit/promote the company/product that they love/hate.
It’s the geeks that usually get the final word on what the non-tech people acquire… and some of them really like to spread the worst kind of “informative facts” about about topics in which they’re supposed to excel at.
No puns intended anywhere in this post.

“Gen4 console systems”
I think someone needs a history lesson on gaming console generations.

Although, reading between the lines, it only means that there is a Playstation 4 in the hands of some EA devs. Then again, that’s just me pretending to be a member of the press and spinning comments to sensationalize and start the hype bandwagon early. I should probably work for News Corp.
