Hopefully not. I don’t think it’s worth their time to try and do a full-frontal push into a market with such strong leaders. Unified messaging is still heating up and they have a realistic chance of getting a piece of the pie here, much more so than if they tried to compete with Twitter.

Hint: It’s the latter.
In all seriousness, I’m very excited to give this a try. If they make a well-designed application with great functionality, they can definitely capitalize on the BlackBerry brand as it pertains to messaging. Good luck, guys.

Whining is when you complain about a website doing measurements in imperial rather than metric units even though they really aren’t that hard to roughly convert between in your head. Chill out, there are bigger things to worry about in life than what system of measurement a tech blog uses. Also, many figures that we measure on devices are specifically made to a measurement in the imperial system, and are reported in the same system for convenience and accuracy. For example, the Nexus 7 is named for its 7" screen, and is sold globally under that name, rather than the 17.78cm you get when you convert to metric.

Seriously. If you eat at Sugar ‘n Spice, then you clearly don’t love America.

Fun fact: On Balboa Island, there’s actually two frozen banana stands (Dad’s and Sugar ’n Spice), roughly 100 feet from each other, that both claim to be the original frozen banana.

Exactly. The numbers haven’t been fantastic from what I’ve seen, and when you combine that with it being comparable to a last generation console, processing-wise, it seems pretty reasonable for EA to just skip it.

EA hasn’t yet formally dismissed the possibility of bringing Frostbite 3 to Nintendo’s customers in some capacity, however; avoiding the Wii U entirely could leave quite a bit of money on the table.
At this point, I think porting Frostbite 3 to the Wii U might be leaving more money on the table than not doing so.

Well, with this the delivery cost would be effectively zero, and there would be no fossil fuel used directly in its transportation. On top of that, this would use less paper than a whole newspaper, and the problem with paper is largely the fact that we need to make sure we re-plant what we cut down. A gimmick, sure, but it’s not like it’s world-ending levels of waste. It’s basically an internet connected receipt printer.
