Shoot, rollerOrbital! If only you’d spoken sooner! You could have saved Disney a whole lotta time, money, and headache.

For the love of God, stay put! It’s literally unbearable being 2 hours from snowboarding and an hour from the beach! And don’t get me started on the high-paying jobs.

I’m fine charging off of 110, but at less than $500 this is pretty tempting. Just need to check if my ancient-ass panel will handle another 220 circuit. I’m betting on "nope.’

I’m at a loss. For those against this, why should the fact that a business did not have a physical presence in a particular state give them a competitive advantage over a business that does? Or is the argument that nobody should pay taxes, period?

This truly is not for the faint of heart. I remember hearing rumors of the Happiness in Slavery video around 1992, and it was even sicker than I’d envisioned (but nowhere near as bad as Gave Up). I still have a supposedly second-generation VHS copy of the Gibby Haynes “leak” from about 1993, which was pretty much worn out during college. I transferred it to digital around 1998, but haven’t watched it since.
Kinda disappointed this is being officially released. Takes away a lot of the mystique, although as the article says it’s been available online for a while.
It’s also interesting just how much Trent Reznor had changed over the years. He really was a sadistic SOB.

Empire had the best ending. I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader’s his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. It ends on such a down note. I mean, that’s what life is, a series of down endings.

Well, I had those Mustangs when I was 17-25, and they didn’t do much but get me in a TON of trouble. Nobody should be allowed to drive at 145MPH when they’re 17. You don’t realize how quickly a dead end can sneak up on you! Thank God for e-brakes and empty fields.
The Volt is more fun for the 37 year-old me. Like I said, it acts like a sports car, but, if you’re really watching the efficiency, you don’t want to drive it like one. I enjoy trying to make it as far as possible without using a sip of gas. I enjoy trying to regenerate as much charge as possible. I enjoy trying to keep the little green XBox-looking leaf ball in the middle of the.. whatever it’s called. Bar on the right that tells me how efficient I’m doing. I enjoy looking over at my average lifetime MPG and seeing “250+” (the highest it’ll go). I enjoy plugging it in night and getting the feeling that I’m on the ground floor of the future. It may not be this particular technology that wins, but pure gasoline cars’ days are numbered.

Plug-in hybrid is the way to go. I’ve used 4 gallons of gas in the last two months, driving 21 miles each way to work. Just plug in my Volt around 9PM, it’s charged by 6:30 when I leave. If I had a 220v charger, it’d be 0%-100% charge in about 4 hours. It costs me about $1.50 a day to charge it.
It’s also the most fun car I’ve ever owned (’67 Mustang, ’88 Bronco II, ’89 Mustang 5.0, ’94 Mustang 5.0, 2001 S10 Blazer. The last two purchased new). Besides all the stats, etc, available on the display, every day is a game of how much charge I can regenerate coasting through the Caldecott Tunnel, down to Broadway in Oakland. Highest score is 10 miles.
I get about 45 miles on battery, and always have a 9-gallon gas tank available if I run out of electricity. I then get 35-ish highway MPG on gas. Plus, the thing accelerates and handles like a sports car.

Good question! I wish there was a really easy way to find answers to this, or failing that, similar questions which arise from time to time. Like maybe some kind of website, where I could just type in a question, like “How much does a Wii balance board cost,” or even just “Wii balance board cost,” and shazam! the answer would pop right up on my screen! Or—bear with me now—what if if I could just type “Wii balance board” in the little box in my browser where I type the http’s and the www’s, and several little advertisements would pop up, making it real real easy for me to not only find out the price of the item, but quickly compare prices and make the purchase.
But oh well. Bitching about the lack of cost not being posted in an f’ing blog article (and throwing in a little “it’s for the bebes” jab) is what we’re stuck with.
