To push an update to an app they would also need the signatures/keys for the app, not just access to the developer console. So if this really happened the developers of the sky app must have been very stupid and stored all their passwords, signatures and keys in one easy accessable place.
Sooner or later people will have a G+ profile anyway. It’s like your new “profile” one the web across all google services, and thanks to g+ signin, even more. They don’t have to use the G+ timeline, but they’ll have a profile. Same as now with facebook where many have a facebook login for the single signin on many websites/services/app but they never actively use the facebook website.
SMS is the worst way they could have done it. Why not just following Dropbox, Lastpass, Google, App.net and Wordpress by using the Authenticator app which can be used on multiple devices…
They could just make a service likee spotify or radio, Google had no troubles to do so as well. But I guess Apple tries again to go the cheap way, thats why they want “just” a pandorra like radio and not a full streaming service like Spotify, Rdio or All Access.
HTC missed the most important point -.make products for the consumer, not the tech world/blogs. While something innovated some new and unique features which are great on top of Android, HTC was just scratching on the surface and jumped in the bed with Facebook. Bad decision…
