Not to mention the extremely crappy Tegra 3.

Yeah but it must be pretty bad since they hardly mentioned it.

If you don’t want to keep your disc in the console, then just buy it digitally and you won’t have to worry about it.

If anything, I celebrate because the means there will be less bitching from all the Sony cock mongers.

I hear ya, I am leaning towards the Xbox side of the spectrum since they offer so many apps integrated into the OS like Twitch, Skype, NFL, etc. Voice controls, gesture controls, Kinect integration into their games and I like the exclusives Microsoft announced like (TitanFall, Forza 5, Ryse, Quantum Break) more than Sony’s exclusives. Not to mention that XBL trumps PSN in quality and the number of friends I have on each platform.
And last but not least smartglass integration adds a whole new dimension to their games and the power of cloud computing should offset and even outdo the PS4’s power advantage over time.

Sorry bout that. I guess I wanted to mean that games that used to be playstation exclusives and mostly japanese based have made their way to the Xbox.
I was actually considering getting a PS4 strictly to play KH3 but now I don’t have to since it’s also coming to XB One =)

Just so that everyone knows, Xbox One is getting a lot of what USED to be Playstation JRPG exclusives. Metal Gear Solid 5, Final Fantasy XXV, Kingdom Hearts 3, GTA 5 etc, will all be coming to the Xbox One as well.

I understand what you mean, but probably just like Sony’s Gaikai feature, it probably hasn’t been demoed yet because it’s not fully ready or there aren’t any finished games that can use the feature yet. Microsoft has stated that for every Xbox One that they sell, they intend to have 3 Xbox One’s worth of power and storage available in the cloud, so I don’t expect the cloud to get overloaded especially since Microsoft intends to continue to increase capacity over time.
Now while we don’t know how well it works, since we haven’t seen it with our own eyes, I can imagine it must work relatively well judging by the amount of resources they are investing in the cloud.

If you have a media center PC, why do you want to buy an Xbox as a media consumption device? This is not a news, this system has been in place since they introduced Netflix on the 360, complaining about it now will get you nowhere, and No I don’t think Microsoft is moving in the wrong direction at all. They have entire teams of professionals collaborating over the course of years to make this product. I’m sure they know more than you do about what direction they want to move in, no matter how entitled we feel that our opinion is correct.

I’m well aware, thats why I said “theoretically”. In theory the cloud has the capability of processing several times as many calculations as the Xbox itself so if developers are able to figure out how to best use that capability, I can see performance rivaling Nvidia’s Titan GPU or probably higher.

Absolutely. People like to think that Microsoft is taking the wrong approach to gaming, etc, etc. But if anything I think Microsoft is doing TONS more to push the envelope to what developers can do with the games, like integrating Smartglass, Kinect, new impulse triggers on the controller and cloud computing to provide TRULY next generation gaming experiences. While Sony feels comfortable just bumping up the graphics and not really moving forward and innovating.
If people want to consider a moderate graphics boost “next gen” then they are too easily impressed. But nnooooo. All we see is “Sony has the true gamers in mind” and “Oh noes, Microsoft is making me connect my console to the internet”.

This is my situation. I never lend, trade or resell my games. My console is always connected to the internet and I’m not a paranoid conspiracy theorist, so Microsofts restrictions don’t harm me in any way, and my girlfriend has already told me that she is getting me the Xbox One for Christmas so I guess the price doesn’t bother me either (^_^)

If you don’t account for the cloud computing capabilities of the Xbox One, then yeah. If you do take cloud computing into account, then theoretically the Xbox One can be several TIMES more powerful than the PS4.
