HP is a much bigger company than Apple is in many different ways…. Yeah yeah Apple is ‘valued’ more but I’m talking outside this. Product lines, offices, staff numbers, field service people, warehouses etc
As someone who has been at hp before the problem is gasp I don’t like saying it but management! The left hand and right hand don’t report into the same manager and as such don’t know what each are doing!
It’s a bit what jobs said about Sony. HP has lots of good pieces but the ‘arms’ of hp competing against each other. Bit like Sony had been.

As someone who has worked for hp, I can tell you it’s part of the plan. Announce it early and the workers who can’t live without a job or just had enough end up leaving hp and those who resign can be classed as a employee who has been reduced as their manager isn’t allowed to replace them.
This way hp does need to pay them out! win for hp as it saves more $$$$

Too bad hp did this the last few rounds of layoffs and cutbacks. It’s now do the work of two people who before had been doing the work of 4!

This is news how!??? There was no ‘hacking’ all they did was flick some lights to green from a control room….. Big whoop!
Its also nothing ‘new’, its very common to rig the traffic lights to give a party a clean green run through a city. Its a way to ensure safety of important people travelling in the city that they won’t be held up at lights and intercepted.
I know that in Australia this is very common when important overseas officials are travelling around. They get all green lights!
