The reverse. The mistake they made was not branding it YouTube TV since YouTube is associated with their video content and has it’s own channels and as a brand is pretty beloved and doesn’t have the creeper in your bedroom corporate identitiy google is working so hard on.
The Android apps should have been a side feature not the headline. YouTube has more video content then pretty much the rest of the world put together.
Patents… One billion dollar idea for you. Hook up a leap controller over the saw blade. When finger motion toward blade looks like it is reasonablly going to injure somebody kill power and trigger electromagnet to grab blade. Probably $200 in parts for motion sensor, cpu, and magnet. Bonus points for including a speaker and chirping when it appears the user is doing something dumb.
Just because there is old tech that is patent encumbered doesn’t meant there isn’t a cheaper better way.
