That sounds like a great idea, but this theory only holds water if XBO games are actually $40. That would truly be a blow to the PS4 where games are likely to retail for $60 or more.

Agree on all fronts. They let people go misinformed for too long and consequences are coming with that. I’m going to get the PS4 first when some games I want come out. Maybe MS can correct their mistakes later down the road.

People say Nintendo is reusing the same franchises, but do they realize how many trilogies came out on the the 360 and PS3 (first and third party)? There were 2 main entry Mario games on the Wii. When you think about how old their IPs are Halo and Rachet & Clank already look over done.

I’m pretty sure the president of the XBox division is going to be fired by next year. It’s pretty hard to defend Microsoft making restrictions to for things no one asked for, except publishers.

You don’t think there are a moms getting this for Christmas because they’re kids will just die if they don’t have it, people who will use this just as a media device, Microsoft fanboys in general? Regardless of its flaws, the audience for XBO is bigger than that.

As far as bowing down to content owners/publishers for DRM, yes. The difference is they don’t need release the next Xbox to fix this situation (only a software update) while Windows 7 came out so fast it made your head spin.

To be honest, I found it weird that Apple hired a hardware engineer to redesign their software, but it seems like he is addressing many of the problems that people had with the OS, and is looking at what Android and WP have done over the past 3 years for inspiration (which is a good thing). I’d wait till the actual product comes out before raising an uproar, but for now it seems that he’s going in the right direction. iOS was long overdue for a real change.
