The X10 is a nice camera with quality optics, but operations are a little slow and this makes it a little frustrating to use.

If over-the-top retro-looks are not absolutely madatory, yet still of some importance, I would recommend considering the Lumix DMC-LX7, selling at about 360 GBP on Amazon.co.uk as of April 23. Its smaller, lighter, beautifully designed and has a very bright and good (Leica) lens, which compensates quite well for its smaller sensor in low light. Video quality is also better than on the X10.

Fuji also offers the nice looking XF1 (279 GBP on Amazon).

The X10, LX7 and XF1 are all featured on this nice little group test. Very recommended read!
