Let’s leave out the stupid names.
Motorola presented some devices in 2011 and 2012, such as the Motorola Defy+, the Motorola Fire and the the Motoluxe (presented this very year). Motorola is not just a member of the OHA behind Android: it’s owned by Google. They’re supposed to have been bound by a pledge of keeping their devices updated with the latest Android version available in an 18-month time frame.
What does Motorola say about those devices? That they won’t be updated: they’ll only be upping the Xoom, RAZR and Atrix. Is it because the’ rest of phones are single core? No: Sony is updating single-core devices like the Xperia 2011 range. They just don’t care about customers, and about the agreements they sign.
