In the end, I think it’s all about who can make the most money for the company and the shareholders. If Cook continues to have Apple raking the dough, then he is successful.
I doubt that Ive has the crust to continue to do the deals that Cook and Jobs made. I wonder if Cook is less mean and vicious than Jobs was. I sure hope so for the sake of Apple’s employees.

Don’t count on it. Only if shamed relentlessly will Apple reverse course. They’re in for the $ and nothing else. Just like developers, I should add.
It’s still mighty un-classy of Apple to yank an app after copying its features, if it turns out they’re adding similar functionality in iOS6

But only if your app actually IS in the App Store. I’m sure your ID has nothing to do with your particular allegiance, right?

Har. They’ll get around to releasing an Android version, like they did with the last one. They know Android users tend to be more discerning, so they don’t want to rush it to market like the iOS version.

Yup – I have the same resolution. Great for coding – lots of room on the screen, even though it’s only 15".
I would guess the wide screen laptops were due to the desire to have the laptops have a “cinema” screen aspect ratio. HD video, etc etc. It’s almost impossible to find a good ol’ 4:3 screen anymore.

I’m honestly more excited about the live action series than the game. Mostly because if it is well received, perhaps it will launch a successful movie franchise. The live-action game trailers have been mostly awesome, so here’s hoping!

By many accounts, Jobs was not a kind, generous or even a good person. He was a bully and a liar. True, it seems that he was also capable as a company leader, which may have required him too be all of those bad things. But, regardless, if there is a Hell and he was as awful a person as some people say, then he is there burning away.
Thus, there’s no need to with it on him, he likely did it to himself.

Maps on my Dell Streak is really very useful, and I find it easy to use as well. I presume others have similar experiences…what was your point again?

I hope for Whedon’s sake, that he won’t ever have to work with Fox again. He must have learned his lesson by now. It’s like eating at McDonald’s for me. It sounds like a good idea, and you’re hungry, so you eat there. Then you feel sick and vow never to go back. Then, maybe a month or two later, you get hungry again and think “I’ll give it another shot”. So you go, eat, and feel gross again. Then you vow once more: “Never again!”… Eventually, I hope we all learn…
