As an argentinian this is very sad to me. I do not support most policies of the current government, but this make no sense. The restrictions are to change ARS pesos to dollars and not the other way arround (in fact the government is encouraging citizens and corporations to change dollars to a new bond without asking for the source of the money and promising to not sue for capital tax evasion ).
I dont know any policy that restricts google to paid from other country. To make things even unclear, its posible to buy apps in dollars even with the restrictions from Argentina, so there is other reason that Google is not explaining. I bet that they are really pissed with all the bureaucracy. Google’s office in Argentina is rather big, hope that they are not planning to leave the country.
