In a hundred years we’re going to be laughing at the space tech we have today. I hope we can hurry up and go pass this ion and plasma rockets and go straight to dark energy technology, if there ever becomes such a thing.

The idea has been on paper for over 30 years, but only in the last 10 or 15 years have they really refined it. Between this and whatever we discover with dark energy and subatomic particles, in our lifetime humans will be zipping around our solar system and out into the milky way.

Ad Astra’s Vasimr Rocket. They take inert gases and heat them up with microwaves. It turns the gas into a plasma as hot as the sun. They funnel all this heat through super conducting magnets. First rocket goes up this year to help keep the ISS in it’s orbit. Potentially, this could shorten a trip to Mars from 9 months to about 3 weeks. Check out NOVAScience Now documentary on Netflix hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson on “Can we make it to Mars.” I want to be a rocket scientist, I dont know about you.

Shit I’ve listened to all the Joystiq podcasts, at least 3 times each, but now that im working, traded my xbox to go full pc, and on the last 2 years of my college degree, Im not making any time to listening to these. I love games, but i get bored pretty easily. Someone please tell me that its not 100% games and the jokes are good. Is griffin busting out his guitar in this podcast? Are the mcelroys having their comedy juices on full tap or reserving it for mbmbam? Is it worth listening to if you dont have a game system at the moment? help me besties! Love y’all.

The only way I would buy this if the textures got better and Activision invested more into the visual fidelity. But we all know it’s gonna look the same. Video games have really taken a turn for the worst the past few years. Everything is the same.

They do this for a living of course the verge crew has used MS. of course they test it. they test every single ms product that comes around. but every time there’s an annoying update to it every week, to long boot times, cheap hardware or track pads that act NOTHING like apple’s trackpad, they choose Apple. Before the iphone, im sure they all had their favorite phones, and i doubt many were from MS.
