As various have already intimated, it depends what your purpose for the app is. I find Evernote to be a great holistic solution. I use it to keep dozens of lists, notes from meetings, clip recipes from online with their browser plugin (which usually contain one or more images), and draught blog posts.

The only thing that I really hate about it is that their premium service with offline access is an annual subscription. That really surprised me, as I would’ve paid five or ten dollars one-off, but that puts it in the same realm as a Spotify or Netflix.

I believe it and the On The Verge theme are his original compositions. People ask for the opportunity to buy them all the time, but I’ve yet to see a response.
