Here in Portugal, I pay €5 for unlimited texts within my network (almost everyone I know) and unlimited calls to people on the same plan as me (almost everyone I talk to). No data plan, but our TV subscription lets me sign into any FON wifi network for free, so unless I’m in the middle of nowhere, I’ve always got free wifi nearby almost everywhere in the country (and several other countries in Europe too). Pretty nice.
