It is common sense
The Surface RT’s been out for like 7 months and still no joy, what’s going to change?

Thanks, while you’re here can you tell me if Dortmund will beat Bayern at the weekend?

Yup, after a second viewing I realised Microsoft’s pitch is “notifications and Powerpoint”, i.e. stuff a lot of iPad users don’t care about.

That was pretty good, still not enough to get me to shell out for an RT tablet though.

no feeling of guilt
The OP pretty much admitted that he pirated Photoshop and my response is pretty much “get Pixelmator or stay with what you have”. I don’t believe in piracy but if he want’s to pirate software he’s an adult and it’s unlikely I can stop him pirating it no matter how “holier-than-though” my response. He asked for advice, I gave it to him.

I’ve been using Pixelmator for about 6 months now and I can tell you that for the price you get an amazing deal. In the past I’ve used Paintshop Pro, Gimp as well as Photoshop and I’m really happy with it for 90% of cases (I use it primarily for mobile UI design). It’s head and shoulders above GImp which I just found unusable and it’s lightweight like Paintshop Pro (the bloat in Photoshop can be annoying at times) however the are some glaring omissions in terms of features. For instance forget using automatic layer features like drop shadows, if you want anything like that you’ll have to go old-skool and duplicate the layer > black it out > apply gausian blur (oh yeah, it’s got filters for days).
So in summary if you’re an uncompromising power user with no feeling of guilt, a pirated copy of a recent version of Photoshop is a better option, for everyone else Pixelmator wins.

The lag on this thing kills it
True. In my defence, wrote my comment when there was just one paragraph of the story. The real killer for me is no palm rejection, it looks promising but I just can’t fux with this stylus in it’s current state.
