Magic 8-ball, will all of Paul’s articles for the next year start with “Since I’m not on the Internet for a year…”?
We get it, Paul. I’m sure your book will sell great at the end of that year — you know, the book that’s already written about how hard-yet-freeing the Internet-free year has been.
But really, considering that you are constantly surrounded by people who are constantly connected, you’re less “off the Internet” than I am, working 8 hours per day at a computer. Dumb stunt is dumb (but nice book deal is nice – congrats!)

And “This looks better on iOS” is a factual statement?

I have a handful of friends that use it a few times per month. It’s real value for me isn’t all that social — I follow a lot of photographers to see their stuff, and a lot of news sites (particularly tech news).
For me, it’s just a better, more full-functioned Twitter. I use it for discovery, rather than sharing. (Oh, and I keep my photo galleries there, having moved from the seemingly abandoned-by-its-developers Flickr last year.)

“Google really does take a long term approach to almost everything they do.”
One of the problems with this is that they think it’s okay to release it half-baked and then play catch-up later. The lack of a decent Google+ API is a serious problem, considering that Facebook and Twitter’s API’s are what made them so successful (via Tweetdeck, Farmville, etc.).
The biggest problem I have with photos on Google+ (which I use and like, BTW) is the horrible integration with Picasa. There is some functionality on Picasa that Google+ Photos doesn’t have, so that you have to go to both places to do some things (like free tagging).
It’s annoying and half-baked (and don’t get me started on the travesty that is Google Listen, and how ridiculous it is to have that as part of Reader rather than Google Music).

No, you’re not crazy. But I do question the sanity of anyone who owns a m4/3 and hasn’t yet bought the amazing Panasonic 20mm f1.7. :-)
That lens alone (a pancake, so you get fantastic quality in an unbelievably small package) is worth considering a switch from DSLRs to m4/3, provided of course you don’t actually require a DSLR.
Based on the dpreview m4/3 forum, there’s a sizable number of people who rarely remove that lens from their camera.
