it’s news because back in the day it was a big deal – old media + new technology.
That said. MSNBC.com is #2 or #3 for news and that’s mostly thanks to MSN.com. Taking that away might kill the site’s popularity. Also they’ve always been on the cutting edge in terms of design, navigation, embedding of videos even

HTML5 video is so amazen, for the last week I’ve been cussing Youtube because all videos I were loading slowly and if I hit pause then resumed the video/audio were out of sync. I had to refresh the page completely to fix the problem.
It was only after I right clicked on a video that I saw they opted me into the HTML5 trial, again, after leaving it now Youtube videos play fine.
Strangely, my Flash experience in Chrome is utter shit, it’s constantly crashing and taking the whole OS down with it until the tab/s are refreshed. Don’t have that problem on IE9 however

hm I can scroll the Metro start screen with my mouse wheel. Or just bump the cursor at the ends and make the tiles move sideways

I don’t like my taskbar littered with icons. I keep it left-aligned and only have 4-5 pins on it permanently of what I use the most

sorry but the Windows XP blue and green is gaudy. Mail app is white/green and it just looks cheap, calendar too

if the metro start was as polished and sexy as Zune Desktop I personally wouldn’t have such a problem with it. Instead they went with a gawdy colored mess. Tho I think I do like where the desktop is going but i’ll reserve final judgement for when Windows 8 RTMs

because you rejected windows phone, if they let you turn the metro interface off then then how would they cram it down your throat?

been on Consumer pReview as my main os since it came out. My use of metro consists of flipping to metro to launch an app. It hasn’t made me use it more at all. The only thing I like about it is how the tiles swoop in and that’s about it.
the colors in metro mail and calendar are atrocious! Talk about ugly. It has that cheap feeling like i’m using a low-grade OS that couldn’t afford a better design

don’t nobody bitch when your favorite show gets canceled early, with C3 ratings implemented not watching the ads = dead TV show even faster than before. And at $2-3 million per episode and retrans fees alone won’t cover the bills

these guys package and sell a lot of really valuable information, most of it found online in different places or re-hashed, that does make money. It’s real marketing how to. The problem is many are shady fuckers who want to sell you the $500 package and the $1500 seminar
Although something can be said for the people that buy these things – they’re known as the serial buyers. People that buy the courses and info products and never do anything with it. They’re buying and hoping someone will give them a product with an easy button so they can fuck off all day, do nothing and rake in the millionns.
I’ve bought shit from Mike Filsaime, I’m pretty advanced so it was all overhyping and under delivering. I had to finally get my credit card issuer involved to get a refund because they lied i’d get one or tossed me from department to department.
I’ve read some of Frank Kern’s stuff, I can say that he’s maybe the only one who’s hyped up products made me think up of ways I can improve my work, do things differently etc And I actually used some of that information and ended up making about $16k in one month referring customers to Netflix.
So not everything is a scam, but there are a lot of scams, a lot of bullshit gets mixed in with the legit stuff. I’m surprised the gov’t hasn’t cracked down on these people harder
