all access isnt available here in the UK so i’ll hold off on that and still use spotify’s web player, tweetdesk has a great chrome app that i have pinned in the top left, but kinda useless if you cant see tabs :P

personally, i would much rather get an RT machine, much better battery for same GPU and ever so slightly worse CPU, but again thats my personal opinion, i use quite a few metro apps and would happily have an RT maching and hide the desktop, i dont even use office, but its a plus that its there.

RT needs to come out swinging this year, hopefullly with windows 8.1 / RT 1.1, more OEMs will get excited nd put some serious thought into their machines

no that isnt what this is at all, this is a waterproof samsung phone, simple as, this design language has been used for years in its rigby line up, and as much as we all likethis design, if this ws the standard S4 design at launch i be many people would be moaning its ugly

personally, IMO if you need to run legacy apps that bad just buy an i5 tablet or something, it just annoys me when people say “just get an atom tablet, it can use all your old apps” which, while technically true, it cant run them in a fashion where you would want to use them, have you tried to use photoshop on an atom machine?

IE10m is actually really rather good, page load times are fast, scrolling is okay, pinch to zoom on touch is really rather good, no compants there, its th fact the UI is so bare, i understand that the UI requires minimalism, but atleast a neat tabs bar up top or down below

i agree there 100% becasue i feel ther eis no place for these atom machines “they can run all your old apps!!!!!1” no they cant, they have the ability to run the old apps, if you are willing to spend 5 minutes whilst steam client tries to open, RT machines i believe should have demolished Atom, but they released with year old, and proven to be shitty Tegrea 3

IE has never been good for anyone, IE10m isnt bad for the typical tablet user, but i think it needs to be more obvious that there are tabs there other than you having to swipe down and guess

add a touchscreen thats fine, but the swivel-y hinge-y thing just looks and feels like its gunna snap and doesnt look all that great, again, in my personal opinion

with current chips it’d be limited to 3.5gb i believe becasue they are all 32bit ,but still i digress, and the swivel’y screen on the twist makes me go eww, but thats personal preference, if it was litteraly a windows RT version of the Series 3 i would be happy and buy it right now

i know exactly how you feel, i did a trial the other week on my desktop, to live within metro for the entire day, i kinda cheated by using the Windows 8 mode in chrome but i need actual tabs, not the half tabs cheating thing that IE10m does

IE10 in metro isnt bad, it’s just a little rough around the edges, though i think there needs to be a chrome and Firefox RT port, like now

i really like RT, i really want an RT laptop, like the series 3 ARM chromebook,but running RT, because that, IMO would be a great student machine, think about it, the majority of students dont need video editors, or photo editors, yes ,there is a niche (not a small one but its still there) that do need them, but they are outnumbered by the ones that dont need them, we in the tech indusrty usually do, but as a student, my course only really requires word processign and web browsing, an RT laptop would be perfect for that, an Exynos 5 Octa, or a snapdragon 800, or Tegra 4 fanless system, with an SSD and a relatively large battery or more battery efficient hardware and software, i really want RT Laptops to come true, im not talking about convertibles, or tblets with optional bluetooth keyboards, they pretty much suck, i mean an ARM laptop that runs RT (a touchscreen would be a nice addition,but hnestly, i wouldnt mind a good trackpad).

i know its not going to happen like ever, but its nice to dream.

an no one mention the 11" Yoga, if you do you’ve missed the point
