Kinpin do you know of any other major tech company that gives users more control over their data than Google?
You’re beloved Microsoft has a worst record than Google when it comes to customer data control and customer data protection from governments are you willing to call out Microsoft and stop using their products or will you continue being the shill austrotuffer you are?

I have no problem with getting inspiration from others or straight up theft (some ideas are so good its better for society if they get stolen).
What bothers me about apple is the vacuum they put themselves in. “Look this is something never done before” except it has been done and is in no way new. Even that wouldn’t bother me so much, but then apple has the balls to litigate and patent the hell out of any design patent they can get their hands on.
Apple all I ask is to stop being a hypocrite. Borrow, steal please get inspiration from others, just don’t litigate when others get inspiration from you.

Long before? Most companies spoke afterwards, this is google’s second statement as well as facebook’s. All of them said the same thing. We do not grant access to our data and only do so when we are forced to with the correct warrants. But since prism is deemed legal by congress, executive and Judicial branch I would like to see Microsoft along with all others discuss that certain topic.
What I would really like is a press conference called by all the companies mentioned in that report where they discuss their involvement or lack of involvement of helping the NSA go “nom nom nom” on our data without warning or going through the proper channels.

Would you like to tell us where most of that lobbying money went?
Stopping CISPA and PIPA
Immigration reform
and last but not least
STOPPING the mass collecting of user data without proper warrants and court orders
try again.

Yes since its the topic at hand. I would like to see a vehement denial of them knowing or being involved in Prism and statement by Balmer would be preferable.

PRISM is probably an internal name used by the NSA and these companies had no knowledge of it.
It was probably called “fucking American citizens privacy over” outside the NSA.

Don’t you lie to me google!?
Either Larry Page has no soul or google really didn’t know anything about this.
Apple came out a say the same thing.
What im thinking is Prism is just a code name that the NSA had and these companies had no idea they we involved in it.

Build an authorized YouTube app.
Give us the private api that no one else has the right to or build us an app.
If not we will continue stealing from you and your content producers.
Yep blackmail

I’m sure Google will still call for the app removal. They know what’s at stake. This act makes it so that any piece of software can be held hostage if you can reverse engineer it. I bet you would be calling for Google’s head if they did this for Skype with chrome os.
