Why does it matter where the focus is if there are big improvements to the desktop as well, like the huge improvement in multi-monitor support. The only thing that changed on the desktop was the full screen start menu.

Tablets are experiencing huge growth. People arent buying PCs because all their computing needs are served by a $200-$500 tablet that’s easier to use. There’s no need to spend $1000 on a PC. And the desktop isn’t going to bring the average Joe back, most of them could barely figure it out after all these years with it.
